VowKit setup guide

This public page is the short customer-facing guide. The source ZIP also includes a much more detailed owner/deployment manual in the docs/ folder.

For template buyers: An editable VowKit App Element updates when the VowKit app is open. A LIVE timer is a separate hosted rich-media embed and continues ticking independently.

Editing an existing countdown

  1. Open the Canva design that contains the VowKit countdown.
  2. Open VowKit / Countdown Studio from Canva Apps.
  3. Select the countdown in the design.
  4. Change the event date, timezone, wording, layout, font or colors.
  5. Choose Update countdown.

Adding a new editable countdown

Set a future date and choose the visible units. Pick a preset and Canva font, then choose Add countdown to design. A new creation consumes one free creation unless the current Canva user has VowKit Lifetime.

LIVE countdowns

The LIVE mode publishes a timer at the hosted timer service, then asks Canva to add its URL as an embed. This requires the production provider/domain to be supported by Iframely. Static PNG, JPG and PDF exports cannot remain interactive.

Free plan and lifetime

Five new timer creations are included. Editing an existing editable timer does not consume another creation. If a creation fails before completion, the reserved free use is released. Lifetime is a $25 one-time payment.

Privacy

The backend uses the Canva-supplied authenticated user context to enforce creation limits and entitlements. See the Privacy page for the public policy outline.
